Kenya Curling Federation became the 67th Member Association of the World Curling Federation following the approval of their conditional membership in February 2021.

Kenya is now the second African member of the World Curling Federation, following Nigeria who joined in 2018, and will compete in the Pacific-Asia zone.

World Curling Federation President, Kate Caithness, said: “We are delighted to welcome Kenya into the curling family. Having a second member from Africa is really exciting for our sport and we are looking forward to working together with the Kenya Curling Federation to ensure the successful roll out of the sport in their country.”

President of the Kenya Curling Federation, Laventer Atieno Oguta, said: “Kenya curling is delighted to be the second African country to become World Curling Federation member. This is big achievement for Kenya and Africa, and this going to motivate more African members. The Kenya Curling Federation is going to work hard to help promote and support other African countries and promote curling in both Kenya and Africa.”
