About Kenya Curling
Curling, a sport traditionally associated with cold climates, has a rather unusual and unexpected history in Kenya. Known for its savannahs, wildlife, and diverse culture, Kenya isn’t typically the first country that comes to mind when thinking about curling. However, in recent years, the sport has gained popularity and found a niche following in this East African nation.
The introduction of curling to Kenya can be attributed to the efforts of a small group of enthusiastic individuals led by the Curling President Laventa Oguta who was captivated by the sport while watching it during the Winter Olympics. Inspired by the strategic gameplay and unique physical demands of curling, we embarked on a mission to bring the sport to our homeland.
