The spirit of curling is spreading across the nation—one county at a time!
Yesterday marked a major milestone for the Kenya Curling Federation as we successfully hosted the Meru–Embu Counties Curling Friendly Championship, and what a fantastic day it was! From competitive floor curling action to community engagement, the event was nothing short of a triumph.
It was a day filled with energy, teamwork, and pure passion for the game. The championship not only gave players a platform to showcase their talent but also offered an exciting introduction to the sport for new fans, students, and local leaders who attended. For many, it was their first time experiencing curling—and they loved it!
And here’s the best part:
No ice? No problem!
That’s our new slogan as we continue to champion floor curling across Kenya, especially in areas without access to traditional ice rinks. The game remains just as fun, strategic, and inclusive.
With Meru and Embu now officially on the curling map, we’re thrilled to announce our next stops on the County Curling Outreach Program:
- Kiambu County Curling Championship – 4th July 2025
- Narok Curling Cup – 4th July 2025
- Kajiado & Nairobi Curling Clinics – Coming soon!
We believe in nurturing local talent, creating sporting opportunities for youth, and showcasing that curling can thrive anywhere—with or without ice.
Stay tuned as we roll out across the counties, continue growing the game, and build a vibrant curling community across Kenya.
Let’s grow the game, one county at a time.
