The Kenya Curling team on 31st August 2024 had a highly successful and enlightening educational session with the esteemed Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya (ADAK) team. We were honored to host Mr. Daniel Ndirangu and Ms. Damaris Njeri, who delivered impactful presentations on critical topics surrounding doping in sports.

The session covered a comprehensive range of issues, including athletes’ rights, banned substances, the doping testing process, and more. The ADAK team provided invaluable knowledge that resonated deeply with our athletes. The players demonstrated great enthusiasm and engagement, actively participating in discussions and asking pertinent questions.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Daniel Ndirangu, Ms. Damaris Njeri, and the entire ADAK team for their dedication and expertise. Their commitment to clean sport and the protection of athletes’ integrity was evident in every aspect of the session.

In addition to the in-person learning, the athletes were encouraged to further their knowledge on doping regulations by enrolling in the ADAK e-learning courses. The ADAK e-learning platform offers access to comprehensive courses on topics related to clean sport and anti-doping, designed for athletes, coaches, and anyone interested in understanding and upholding the values of clean sport. Many of our athletes have already begun this journey and are working towards obtaining their course certificates.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with ADAK and fostering a culture of integrity and clean competition in curling. Here’s to a future where our athletes can compete with confidence, knowing they are well-informed and committed to upholding the highest standards of sportsmanship.
