Pan Continental Curling Championships 2024 – Lacombe, Canada

Kenya participated in the 2024 Pan Continental Curling Championships, held in Lacombe, Alberta, Canada, from October 27 – November 2, 2024. Both the men’s and women’s national teams proudly represented the country in the A-Division, competing against some of the strongest curling nations from the Americas and Pacific-Asia regions.

Kenya’s Journey

The teams entered the championship with the goal of achieving a medal finish and securing qualification for the 2025 World Championships. Despite facing significant challenges—including limited funding, lack of government sponsorship, and no dedicated ice facility in Kenya—the athletes displayed determination and resilience throughout the competition.

Outcome & Significance

While Kenya did not record a win in Lacombe, participation alone marked a historic milestone for the Federation. Competing at the B-Division level showcased Kenya’s growth in curling and highlighted the country’s commitment to developing the sport locally and internationally.

This event remains an important step in the Federation’s long-term vision of preparing athletes for future world championships and Olympic qualification.
