Kenya Curling

Kenya Curling Federation is thrilled to announce its upcoming National Team Selection Tournament, scheduled for July 24th and 25th, 2025. The tournament will serve as the official pathway for selecting athletes who will represent Kenya in international championships, including qualifiers for the 2026 Winter Olympics. While the exact location is yet to be confirmed, preparations are already underway to ensure a competitive and transparent selection process.

This year’s tournament promises to bring together the most talented curlers from across the country, both seasoned and rising athletes, as they battle it out for a chance to don the national colours. The stakes are high, and the opportunity to compete at world-class events is an incredible motivation for all involved.

In line with our mission to grow the sport of curling in Kenya, the Federation is also launching an expansion campaign targeting eight counties:
Machakos, Kajiado, Kitui, Kiambu, Nairobi, Narok, Embu, and Meru.

This bold step is part of our broader plan to decentralize curling and introduce the sport to more communities across the country. By nurturing grassroots participation, we hope to tap into new talent and build a stronger pipeline for future national teams. Training camps, workshops, and school outreach activities are expected to roll out in the coming months within these counties.

As the July tournament approaches, we invite sports fans, partners, and supporters of curling to follow our journey and support the development of this growing winter sport in Kenya.

Stay tuned for more updates on the venue and selection guidelines—and join us as we sweep our way toward new milestones!
