On February 25, 2024, the 3rd Annual Curling Jamaica International Friendly brought together a diverse lineup of nations, each navigating its unique path to compete in the challenging world of curling. Among the participating countries — Jamaica, Kenya, Guyana, Portugal, the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Mexico — Kenya’s debut took center stage, adding an extra layer of significance to this international winter sport

Christian, one of the four Kenyan athletes, expressed his excitement about being in Canada for the first time, emphasizing the contrast between Kenya’s limited ice time and the frosty terrains of the Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club.
